Why is everyone so quiet post elections?
I gather there is dissapointment, and I gather there is disenchantment in regards to voting irregularities.

However, I thought someone could write to discuss what could have been done better.
- was it the lack of cohesion between the opposition parties?
- were there too many differences and basics that defined the main opposition parties?
- was it because the message did not get through to the general public, especially the lower income Bumis who voted for the devil they know?
- did too many Indian vote swing to Barisan instead of supporting the Opposition?

Putting aside the gerrymeanders in the election borders/districts (because this happens in every part of the world including Australia)......was there enough done to secure sufficient individual seats to win Government?

There is I consider a brilliant & very witty film called "Election" (1999) starring Reese Witherspoon who just about did everything possible to win the votes to become President of her High School. She ticks all the right boxes in school activities, cajoled her fellow students, prompted them, bribed them, held popular rallies, issued free "vote for me" merchandise, erected banners - the works.
She was confident as hell - but still lost.
Borrow the DVD if you have not seen it before.
Reese is at her very best in this film with the screenplay absolutely wonderful.
Is this film a metaphor for Malaysia Elections 2013?

Now, Najib could have been Reese Witherspoon, but it did not happen that way.
The very subtle but popular vote won the day in this film.
It shows that sometimes fire breathing dragons and calling 'foul' too many times work in reverse.

So.....?
