Happiness is a state of mind. Leading up to the election our household was contacted many times by the two main parties. When questioned, "Who would you vote for?". My answer was consistent:

1. The performance of the local candidate is the most important matter for us, not who the Party per se.

2. I am a self-funded retiree. Leave us alone. Already we have not asked for the help of the state in any welfare payments. Stop messing about with Superannuation laws (otherwise know as Provident Fund in your language?). If these laws keep changing, where is the stability in the retirement investment environment?

3. Policies on Aged Care. This is self evident.

4. Policies on Education.

5. Policies on the Green House thing.

Am I happy with the result? My concern is, the balance of power at the Upper House is with a few. Will they act in the interest of the nation?

In 3 or less years time, we are back to the Polling Box. The performance of the Gov. will again be reviewed by the people.

By the way, on the ballet paper, there is a "Sex Party". Gee. Sex and politics?

Regards, LG
