What terrible and sad news that MH370 has gone missing.
I do not wish to speculate - but it appears that foul play could be the cause.
How else could a plane just go missing all of a sudden at cruising height? Without any Mayday calls or distress signals and losing contact with Controllers?
It sounds like the pilots did not have control of the plane at all when lost.
Is this what is called a 'Catastrophic' state of events?

Capt. Zaharie Shah is a most experienced pilot and our Capt. Lim would probably have known him and some of the crew during their stint at MAS.

It will be a most difficult time for the families of the missing passengers and crew and my prayers and condolences are with them. Perhaps the littlest glimmer of hope that there are survivors....

Don't be surprised that the terrorists who did not succeed in interrupting the Winter Olympics at Sochi, Russia may put up their hands for this shocking incident.
The mystery of the 2 'lost' passports has European origins.

Mechanical & safety improvements no longer haunt my "Fear of Flying"...... it is these type of actions that are the worry and quite beyond our control.

Ray
