Sorry that sucks and that is going to hurt that is also a lot of time. I know you just want to cry now I can completely understand. He is facing the consequences of his actions and you have the right to be upset with him. In time you may want to start seeing someone else for your mental health and the mental health of your children. If that time comes no need to feel guilty he did this to you. Having him write his judge admitting it is his fault not giving excuses asking for help telling him he was trying to stay clean for his family asking for forgiveness and a second chance may help? Tell him if he writes DO NOT play dumb, or ignorant, and do not go on to much about his kids, everyone has kids. There is also a book called “Jail Time Credit” read up on it. There is an application you get through the bailiff filling out anything he has done for this crime. Be it rehab, time in jail before his court date, counseling, probation visits, etc. Things like that can be submitted and time taking of his jail time. Good Luck.
