Tasker's face registered his surprise at the offer. The truth was he had no idea where he was going. He wanted to find his parents, but had no idea where to look. So far as a place to stay, the last few nights had been spent curled in his tail and huddled for warmth wherever he could find shelter. Without his parents, nights were scary and he hadn't slept much, but what else was there?

He fidgeted, uncertain what to say. "Um...I'll be fine." It wasn't exactly a lie; he was doing okay so far without his parents, wasn't he? Except for the hunting and finding food. " I don't have far to go." That much was certainly true. Off in the distance, there was a rumble of thunder and a sudden gust of wind stirred the trees.
