Hmmm .... I *do* find that music affects me and my writing very much. I was actually thinking of including a "selection of the week" tagline in my news updates, letting you all know (or recommending to you, or whatnot), and I might just do that, since there seems to be interest. ;)

Let's see ... for Folio Three, I was listening to Peter Gabriel. The live album from the US tour, but only the first CD since I seem to have misplaced the second one, which I'm upset about because it has a seriously powerful seven minute rendition of "Digging in the Dirt." Which was what I wanted to use for the "disorientation from hell" scene. But "Come Talk to Me" worked really well, and "Red Rain" is always good from internal drama.
For Folio Two, I was listening to Genesis' self-titled album. "Illegal Alien" works particularly well for Hiram.
For Folio One ... I was listening to David Bowie's _Earthling_. "Little Wonder" is great for jumpstarting just about anything.

I see ... actually, the furthest north I've ever been is Vermont, and that was COLD. New York's been getting mild-ish winters, but my memory's kinda faulty, climate-wise. To a native Texan like myself, Maine is The Great White North. ;) Does the Chinook come off the Rockies? I remember when I lived in El Paso (part of the tail end of the Rockies splits the city nearly in half), the mountains did truly *funky* things with the weather.

I appreciate that!

Nobody ever said being a farm boy and having an education were mutually exclusive. Same with getting a degree from the school of hard knocks. ;)

I've already gotten great feedback about Hiram ... trust me, he's definitely coming up, soon ....
