Subject: NOW OR NEVER....from FRUSTRATED

There comes a time within every organization and every individual's life, for them to stand for an issue that they believe in more strongly than anything else. It also means they must do whatever it takes to change what they feel is not right. Fighting for the City to adhere to minimum standards(four men on a piece) is an issue that benefits ALL of us.

For the majority of our "BROTHER FIREFIGHTERS" who have yet to get involved, particularly those who have considerable time left on the job, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???????? In case you haven't noticed, the majority of public sentiment is in our favor. The time is now to effect change. Its a Damn shame when you can get the public support, which is no easy task, before you can get the support of your "BROTHERS", who stand to benefit from a little participation. Its always the same faces. Do you prefer, to run shorthanded and work harder, or do you want some help pulling that ceilling or advancing that line. Help when you need it, not an hour into the incident when those who answer a recall get there. Help, when you may need to save a life or God forbid your own or your partners.

Get on board, do what you can. Somethings are more important than golf or a side job. The snowball is rolling down hill and gaining momentum.

To those who are holding leadership positions and are afraid to "offend" the wrong(or right)people, I say, "LEAD, FOLLOW, OR GET OUT OF THE WAY"

Important Dates: Aug 28 North End Assoc. Meeting The Chief and Mayor will be there, we should too!!

Sept 4 Niagara Assoc. Meeting. City Council Public Safety Comm. will be there.

Watch for Info @ the stations.

This will be like the longest train ride you have ever seen. ALL ABOARD!!!!!!
