They pay plenty for three or four players and trade on 'the mates' line for all the rest. They also do the that old chestnut of loyalty payments, you know the one, you play say, 6 first grade games in a row and you're eligible for a bonus. Strange how those players that are on this payment scheme at around game 4 or 5 are suddenly dropped. I like the sound of the points system, but I still maintain that a salary cap with stiff penalties for breaches needs to be put in place. Every team that enters the comp would have to sign a contract enabling the league to look at all their finances.
