Subject: For all she had heard of the Sol Congress from her father Nothing could prepare her for this...

Emily stood before the mass assembly of representitives. Each one seemed to watch her with an air of scrutiny. After all she was the newest member, and the youngest (17 EY-Earth Years), replacing the late Walter Witwicky a distant cousin of hers. So young, and naieve, is what the Congress thought as she stood before Chairman Osten.

"Chairman Osten, Representives, fellow Sol inhabitants. I bring before you an issue which has been plaguing us for years. One that I believe we must adress at once. This issue being the allience between Cybertron and Earth."

At once a stir of murmers arose from those seated, but Emily contiued, "As you know in the past we have delt with Autobots and Decepticons. My Great grandfather and his father, Spike and Sparkplug Witwicky, befriended the Autobots when they came to Earth. Yes, as some of you well know, the arrival of the Autobots also heralded the plague that was the Decepticons of old. But since that time we have grown. The technology that the Transformers brought with them was both a blessing and a curse for us. But we strived though the war, and we came to befriend these beings, and love them as we did our own family and friends.

"My Grandfather Danial was best friends with Rodimus Prime, and my Great Grandfather Spike had close bonds with several Autobots. Since that time we have seen the emergence of the Maximals, and Predacons. We have seen the rise of beings that are hybreds of human and Transformers, Powermasters and Headmasters. We were given the chance to meet other beings from other worlds, and learn new things. Over time we have even seen the arisal of the AOD and the CEL who have time, and time again, assisted us in our dire need.

"And what did we do to them for their help? Blame them for problems that we face. Blame them for war, and death. Yes this did happen, and I will not stand here and say that many lives were lost. But many lives were saved as well. My own Aunt, who I was named after, was saved while a baby due to a heroic effort by an autobot known as Daylight.

"We broke with the Transfomers in order to reassess our lives, and fix things we felt they had destroyed. We proved that we could work as a unified body without them, and this Congress is a testiment to that fact.

"Now is the time, now is the day, that we should move forward. Put aside the bitteness, and reunite with our friends the Transformers. I have already asked a memeber of the Unkai delgation, one I'm sure you are all familer with, Que Noctura, to step forth and ask for a chance to meet with representatives from Cybertron. Already the AOD is trying to create ties with the Cybertronian Senate.

"Some of you are unsure, some are even scared, but I ask you not to be. I ask you to think, if not for Prime and the Other Autobots, would we be the rich culture we are now? Or would we forever be the primitive system that lay in the outback of our solar system? Choose wisely senators, and our children, and grand children, and future generations will look upon us as great leaders who re-established ties with the past and took us into the future."

At that Emily sat down, and waited for the rebuttle and questions to come.
