Not only people from Utopia are "emotional"; everyone on this planet can be emotional. One of the growing up process is to experience dystopia, and learn to survive. Please don�t undermine abilities of the people in Utopia. If people thousands of years can survive, get marry, before the age of twenty, they can do the same today! Human beings are not that fragile, which is the point of this journey.
Why be so protective about young adults? Just because they are from Utopia, this does not mean they are all na�ve, and besides they will be educated about the outside world. There will not be any drugs, wars, etc� but this does not mean they will not know about it. There is a difference in knowing and comprehending something and know the difference between right and wrong, rather than denying people of the outside world.
If someone doesn�t like the outside world, they can come back. There�s no limitation to their returning. So why limit yourself to just this Utopia. Is this not fair to the people of Utopia as well. Why not let them try it out, and experience it and decide for themselves! As for their looking for a life partner, it�s optional. If there�s any hang-ups then they have to take care of it. This is the same in real life, they have to deal with it.

p.s. please look into other cultures, people at the age of 18.6 can accomplish much more than american.
