Both. A nice even balance of both. The rules are there to keep everything flowing along and to "keep things fair" in a sense.

I'm sure everyone has a different view of exactly how much should be rules and how much should be role playing. But, I think the rules supplement the role playing and keep everything flowing.

I wish I role played more. That's why I love the online game so much. It's ALL role playing. It's just hard to role play in person unless EVERYONE does it.
