It can be done . . . I simply increase the AC vs the Great Sword by 2 (assuming a large shield).

To feat balance the Bastard Sword I gave all others a +1 Weapon Focus bonus to hit and then removed it from the Bastard Sword to account for its EWP requirement.

Here's the matrix:
