Regarding your blitz comment -- in the basic rules, blitz was a seperate action that could only be taken after a move action. The expansion rules have no reference to a Blitz action. According to Craig, there's a card that will allow blitzes but in this case the card would be overriding the normal lack of blitz attacks.

I'm guessing you used the word "blitz" to refer to their greater range, not as a game term but I just wanted to make sure everyone is clear.

If I'm wrong about this, please let me know what I've overlooked!

I'm fine with this rule, I even think it makes the most sense -- I didn't mean to start a rumpus last night but felt that the rules were not clear and could see 2 possible ways to understand the wording.
