in this case, death energy, or the "current of transition." Necrophilia in this context is about the romance of death. Doing it right can enable one to share consciousness with the Angel of Death. To achieve this, one must find a mausoleum and bring certain required objects for performing a ceremony, such as a candle, some milk, and a knife. Written seventy years ago, this tome (and its two sequels, "Advanced Theories in Necrophilia" and "Expert Necrophilia") achieved early notoriety around Ta'akrinat, where it was originally released. Fifteen copies were made of the original tome written in the author's hand. All fifteen scribes who made the copies either went insane, or turned rather ghoulish. The book was quickly outlawed in Ta'akrinat, but allowed to prosper in Alisander. A necromancer named Wallen revised the text fifty years ago in Alisander, and fifteen copies were published.

I wonder if this has anything to do with why the Frost Giant Liches chose Ta'akrinat as their throne? Or perhaps the vampire with the high-back collar?
