Bob is correct. It is a spell that is supposed to give the caster a couple rounds freedom from action. It would be useful for sorcerers that use metamagic feats and need a full round to cast. They could cast this spell. Hopefully the enemy will be preoccupied with the shadow replica and then the sorcerer can spend a full round casting a spell. It would also be useful for magic user rogue who could cast this spell, hide while the opponent attacks the replica and then sneak attack from hiding.

In and of itself the spell isn't that powerful, but it was made mainly for the two examples I have given.
