This would be great! We are in a similar situation, except we now have this Tome expanded to 10000 times its original length (based on this article). We come upon a pict (or a deer, or a frog).

Step 1 does it notice you. If yes skip to step 10, else go to step 2.
So on so forth.

I could see this book getting so huge that nothing would ever happen, becuase we would be to cautious. Or we'd say screw the picts lets try uhh, being court jesters to Conan himself! Wait, what does our book say. Damn, it says that it is safer to slay picts with an old bench.

Personally, what my character knows and what the me as the player knows are two different things. Does everyone in the entire age know that conan is king? Do they care?

One last thing, I can't wait for the next session of conan this sunday!
