You can forget all about that dog!!!!! NOT FOR ME AND OF CERTAINTY NOT FOR YOU (DALE) - don't really look forward to trying to find a new place for you to move the m/home if you get an animal. There is any number of things that take precedence over taking on the care and maintenance of any animal. The animal shelter is about your best bet if you need to find a place for the critter. Dave, I guess it is pretty hot working where you do, huh? I hear it has been some hot weather out there - guess you all are in a position to pretty well be affected by it - the heat that is. PLEASE watch you dehydration factors. Has been awfully hot here also - guess it is everywhere.

I suppose by now all of you are somewhat aware of Amy' e-mails being forwarded on to you. In there you find her Mom and Dad's e-mails too. Think I told you that Sye went to Lakeland, FL with his girlfriend and family upon graduation last month. Amy was telling me that he was terriably bored (apparently not liking it there, as was to be expected) and was to return home. Natch, Lynn could not get to the phone fast enough to make those arrangements. Said all you had to do is to mention his name and his Mom would burst out in tears. That empty nest and breaking those apron strings is a terriable heartbreaking necessity in life. Sometimes it helps to have it happen gradual or in step intervals.

Sinus have never been a problem for me - until recently. Stop smoking and feels so good not to constantly be plagued with cough, cough and able to breathe deep, but I guess like the old saying goes "NOSE knows everything" and smells everything. Think I could do without all that. Sounds like the 3 of you are planning a visit. That would be nice - just forget about the dog in the suggested situation - for all concerned. ummmm....Mom. The dog was for you not me and it's already been shipped. If I remember correctly, you had some empty 55gal barrels laying around. Keep them, you'll need to have one of them cut in half for a feed bowl for this 'little puppy'. I hope you like him, let me know when he gets there

Brief reprieve from the empty nest syndrom -- Mom, 20:19:45 05/30/01 Wed

Mike and Amy's trip up for an all too short visit was so very much enjoyed. Seems I get to see none of you any too often. They got her last Friday and left yesterday (Tue).
We pretty much just lazed around visiting and watched videos That is after they bought me a new VCR since the one I had did not want to cooperate. Twas a nice and relaxed visit!!
Sure missed them after they left. And, Oh - yes - I got my hair cut and a permanent which feels so much better.

Early last week I received this very nice package from AZ containing two very pretty pants suits and two shirts along with 3 Mother's Day cards. Dave, Don and Noreen Thank you and each of you. Was such a nice thought, and I do appreciate your thoughtfulness. I will enjoy them.

Not much contact on the site or in person lately - I must admit that I am lacking in that area as well. Try to get things squared away and get on top of that. Hope all will do the same also. More later - love to all MOM

Mom it was good to see you and has been hard getting in to a groove since coming back. By today you should have received the 12v battery that I sent out on Saturday. Just remember to hook up as we discussed. Well it does not look as if the chance to relocate to N. Carolina will not materialize as I had hoped. But as I ponder upon the events and the opportunuities that are available to me here in Ft. Myers it is more likely than not to be the better result. Amy is not totally unhappy about the turn of events. In fact we will soon be looking at houses in the southern Lee county area. Well not to change the subject but to hurry on as there is a storm a coming (finally gettin some) Ma Amy and I have inquired but were unable to come up with the video of the Waltzing Water show but because I do read the @news-press.com I was able to hopefully locate someone that will line us up the professional video.

Mike - good to see you on the site. Yes, thanks - I did get the battery on Tuesday's delivery. Very good and I do thank you. Hope the area resolve does result in a little easier job for you to say the least - physically demanding less hopefully. I took the rest of the week off and I know what you mean about being hard to get back into the groove!! I need more of that, ha. It was a nice thought on the Waltzing Waters so maybe something will turn up on your search. Copy of yours will suffice though if not. I did enjoy your visit and thanks for the delicious grapefruit and oranges. I did get the oranges juiced and refrig. cleaned out before I started back to work - now it is back to the same ol' long days snowed under (as usual and no reason to figure it will by some chance change).

Dale, I really am looking forward to being able to be retired and nearer. About to get the appraisal squared away - just waiting the letter at this point. Something to work with in getting things under way. You know I have a way of getting on here and getting mouthy - and all the while I am doing that I have been disconnected and as a result I can not tell if my message posted or not and don't want to do it all over again - and as a result post it twice - or not at all.

Seems next to the youngest has dissappeared on us now. Know he was working quite a bit for ever so long, but I believe that has slacked off somewhat by now - soooooo? Talked to Katie earlier tonight, and she speaks of needing the money to make the trip down - so - guess you can I believe at this point you can disregard whatever I previously said about us making the trip down. Good to see you on the site Dav. Still working a great deal of o/time? If so, I know the pay always helps, but it does make a long week. Please tell Noreen hello and hope all is well with her. Dal hope your back injury is somewhat improving along now. Not exactly the easiest thing to work with back pain for whatever reason. Did you find a good explanation of artheritis (however it is spelled)? Just one thing about it once you get it, it just does not go away. It will always be something to have to contend with. Will try to find more particulars for you if you need me to. Think I may have talked too soon about my reflux situation being so well under control after last night. Was kinda rough. Got the office by myself all this week. Don't feel like doing much when I get home and usually make the mistake sitting down or laying down to watch TV - well so much for that!!!!! You know me. It really is a very nice time of the year - Easter sunrise services, plants, flowers and trees are blooming out. It seems every year we get a new beginning in this manner. Love it! You must have gotten Good Friday off. Guess you can catch up on some of that long lost sleep. Kinda hard to get back to just regular income after a period of extra pay coming in isn't it? Guess that is life, huh? The more we earn the more we manage to spend. Do hope you have a very good and nice 3 days off and a happy Easter. I always did love the sunrise Easter services. Nice to see you 2 have life lines back in operation, and hopefully the other 2 will soon. Just wish the 5th could somehow see possible to get involved, but alas - such is not the case. I guess there are many reasons. What does show up helps - and I hope - others as much as me. Beautiful day to tackle the lawn mower situation (and the carpenter bees swarms). Careful son those 6 & 7 days a week will make an old man out of you fast, without adequate sleep. They say sleep lost can be recovered to a large extent, but catches up on the tail end in years. i think that i heard one time that a little hard work never killed anyone. after alternating 6 day weeks with 7 day workweeks i am starting to wonder if i am going to be the first ;-) lol job security i guess they call it. much better than no job at all, and the paychecks are nice too!

:-) Computer crashes -- Mom, 21:40:01 03/24/01 Sat

As you can see - first Dave's crashes, then next and now the youngest. I know what a pasttime those puters can be - I guess for me also. Just hope I do not get to the point that I can not communicate well with another human being too easily - how easy it would be. Puters do not give you a thing to ponder, however great the wealth of knowledge it does offer. We are still human beings and are required to interact as such.

Has been beautiful days (although a little windy) most of the time lately. Guess what - it is fly flap time again. Only those who are aware of the situation of the carpenter bees can empathize with that. They are here full force today. Gotta find me a butterfly net!!! Otherwise, I just love Spring.

The 3 D's are all having pc problems - the two youngest of the D's are without the use of one now. Guess what - the other D who had problems tells me it was his cord - how about that. Hope all get resolved and back in touch soon. Love Mom

Hope all goes well with Nrn's surgery - be thinking of her. Sure is good to see the sun shine through today. Pretty day. Friday was overcast all day started raining Fri night, all day Sat and by 11 Sat night it was beginning to lightening with some winds not terriably long with a little thunder. Tornado warning south of us. We certainly needed all the rain we got - was glad to see that also. The peach and pear trees and the flowers are all blooming out - so pretty!! Johnnie McCall has been hospitalized for some time now. She is doing better as the doctors have found an antibiotic that works. Thanks to mom for passing this news on. Mac has been staying with her through the night and lou has been with her through the day.

I am sure that we all wish johnnie the best in her recovery.

I believe we all owe Mac and Johnnie a lot over the years of them making the trip to see us and to bring my Mother and your Grandmother on the trips. They have always been so good to all of us. Just to let everyone know, I attempted to reach Johnnie at the hospital about noon or thereafter, and was told she had been discharged. That came as pleasant news in the hopeful aspect of her having progressed and improved enough for her to be able to be discharged. The home phone did not answer when I called the house. I left message that I would call back later.
Just so everyone will know Mike has been predisposed for a period of time now in working 12-16 hours a day now for a substantial period of time in Miami. Called me while enroute back yesterday. No telling when he will be able to post here as it stands now. It was nice to hear from Don yesterday as well. Working late! D1 don't know if he contacted you or not, but he did not have money to make the trip to see you as planned. More later! MOM

Such retirement pressure -- Mom, 18:28:33 02/17/01 Sat

Such logic to enduce retirement - how can I resist? I have an awful lot of excess baggage to dispose of. If any one of you know of something you want, you better make arrangements to get it or at least to let me know specifically what and how and when right away. Am making plans, but that is not to say that it will happen overnight. Sorry to hear of Dave's pc. I can only assume Dale managed to either find his modem or made provisions for the laptop. He will probably offer some resolution. Guess your bro. and family will be coming up from FLA next month. Get my hair done to make me look real purtty. About time. You can see I cringe at tying too much of the family names together on this site - too accessible, I think. 3 have already been spelled out.
Glad you are about to get settled into your new home. So glad for you. Hope you all (3) enjoy your visit together.
Guess you got your hope in getting the business in there.

just thought i would pop in and let you know that we are getting settled in the new house.We (dave and I)bought another car......actually a jeep.Now all we need is for dave to get his drivers license reinstated.Until then i am using the jeep to get back and forth to work and just using the truck strictly for work only.Helps when i am filing taxes. Dave's computer went south.....melted actually....lol
so he hasnt been able to get online since we moved.will write more later...mom you do need to retire and move to sunny arizona.....three of your 5 sons are here now. Dale we will be trying to drive down to see you next friday stay a couple of hours visiting and then drive back...let us know what your schedule is and how about some directions too!!!!

I'm finaly getting settled in here though still getting used to it. Mom thanks for bragging on me as you did, It is quite an honor to hear such praise.
I am in hopes that they will settle in on a regular schedule for me. I have worked 6a-2p, 12noon- midnight, 6p-2a and every possible combination. It makes my sleeping habits pretty much catch as catchcan.
Mom, I do hope you can get your retirement settled and start making plans to come out here. You need the blood pressure excersize and i need the exterior conscience.hahaha
will log back on later on when I catch up on my sleep.

Empty Nest again!!! -- Mom, 09:11:49 02/02/01 Fri

Years ago the "empty nest" syndrom came in conjunction with a major move and huge adjustment from one part of the country to another. Tonight that feeling is very real, along with the good, bad and the ugly - so to speak. I did not realize how much I have come to rely on and depend on my youngest. Seems he can fix anything and he certainly has more or less proven that around here. Thanks to his efforts and labor my kitchen has nice new(EVEN-NOT 2 TIER) countertops, a new stainless steel sink and new faucet with sprayer. Seems so nice - the old sink looked so dirty with all the enamel gone. I hardly know how to act now - REAL NICE. This project delayed his departure until about 10 PM tonight. Guess this site was invented as a means of communicating - so I will say "Thank you" I appreciate your efforts and labor here. Hope also that when you get to this point you will have safely made the trip for your new job. Don & Dave, I hope to hear from you soon in getting settled into your new home and you get things up and going again. Know that you are enjoying it. I am glad for you. Those legs will even out and "strength will be gained" Ha! Guess your distance to work has now been lessened - don't guess that hurts your feelings any does it? Glad the "head honcho" with the big-wigs is now getting some half days off along at least. Makes for a long week/month with having very little time off. Such is the case for Mike any more. He has a very bad cough that just does not seem to want to go away. The DOCTOR? Naaaa - you know how these men are - just can't take the time. Guess your oldest sibling just simply is not going to communicate with us via this means. Love to all - take care and keep in touch - MOM

A death in the family -- dale, 05:26:52 12/18/00 Mon

With great sadness, I must inform you all that Aunt Faye has passed away. Uncle Clifford is doing as well as can be expected under the cicumstances.
She passed away on sat Dec 16. and will be truley missed. She was as close as a sister to mom as can be. If you would like to call and offer your condolences, you can reach uncle clifford at 229-226-1503. The burial arrangements haven't as of yet been finalized.

hope this holiday season finds all of us in good health high spirits, and good cheer. hey dale i check in here about 3 times a week like the pics but for some reason i cant enlarge them enough to make out the details. i have a 17 inch high resolution monitor but my puter(right now) is leftover from the jurassic era i think. building another one as budget and time allow thats probably the problem.mom, took some pics of the g/kids on halloween when they are developed i'll try and get them scanned and posted for you. don is doing better, i think the prob is that he is so reliable that they want to make him manager here in phx in feb.,but they also need him to drive the more difficult(longer) routes too. so far he has been able to duck the flu bug that had me down for a while. lucky him huh? well its 3 am guess i better go for a while love you mom.

Family pics -- Mom, 06:38:26 12/14/00 Thu

I thought it was a rather nice gesture on the part of your brothers to want to share pictures of family and family events. I do feel that it is not asking too much to say that it would not hurt any one of us from at least acknowledging they had been to the site and viewed them.

To say the least-that Linda has not changed a bit, same as for so many years now. On the other hand, certain of my boys have nothing over their mother with being "just a little bit chubby". To say the least the year have been kind to your mom. So many years have been lost with my grand children and now it seems my great grandchildren will be grown before I even get to see them if things do not change.
Natch they are precious.

It was indeed with sadness that I learned that Polly (Patricia), your Dad's sister that lived in Columbus, was married to Ray Marsh passed away 10/2/98. You will recall she lived with us at Eglin where Don was born until she went back to live with Marie. You will recall also that Pat and Ray use to visit us in California and even in IL. I spoke to Ray recently. I also talked to Marie. Conversation was sharp and quick. She is now 70 years old. Thought I would share this with you. I understand that Jim and Gennie are divorced. Jim has had a heart attack. The mill where he has worked all these years is shutting down. Well you can keep in touch or just let all you family and history just fall by the wayside. just a note to let you all know don's promotion came through official ass't manager they tell him in a year or so he will be full manager if not here then they will set him up somewhere else. dam he's good huh? as for me? well i still have a job i think. bug bit me bad missed more days sick this last 4 weeks than i have in the last 7 yrs total. oh well into each life a little rain must fall. although i am starting to think i need a liferaft. sorry mom having to use my days off being sick, so it isnt looking good for me being able to take a vacation till after nov next year . was planning on at least being able to drop by for a few days to see you. guess thats the way life goes. just know i love you and wish you the best christmas you have ever had

We're back on line now, but it seems lke we're the only ones. Mike, we got the laptop and have been working with it. I found and downloaded some rescue disks from compaq and have had a little success with it. If you are still running a compaq, I'll be happy to send them to you. They might come in handy.
I'm still in the midst of getting my software back and with backing up my web sites. Hopefully it won't be too long.
I would like to hear from you guys in any way shape or form. Hope all is well with you. If you guys are interested, I will set up a chat line. I'm not much o chat but will do so in order to stay in touch.

New board is up, -- Dale, 00:50:03 11/12/00 Sun

Hi, all. I have set up this new board due to the excessive down time at Netale. I found out a while ago that Netale server is in russia, of all places. I guess that explains the inherant problems.
