Go


It’s that dull ache again, with the constant need
to rest conserve, and most of all clear my mind
of all this days’ events, and every other thought.

As intuition gnaws, into wide vast empty space
nothing I can do, to quell this underlying mood
except draw the curtains shut and lock the door.

Scary at times, when another mind runs parallel
I think of a word and it rolls right off the tongue
of someone I’d really rather not, reveal my aims.

And then there is you! with that innocent smile
asking if my laugh is indicating anything at all?
while my finger forms one word upon the glass.
