Hi Raphaela,
this is very moving indeed, "now your eyes refuse to meet my hopeful gaze/my warm embrace rejected with such distaste.
Quite simply this is my definition of real poetry, it is very "female" and the every 2 lined effect you put out here has some brilliant images of sadness and hope of reconcilliation, being "male" I can relate because you just put out here what "everyone" has experienced or will experience in this cruel game of love. This piece in fact could be used as a 12 piece "life message" because every 2 piece line has a great message that just writes across the world for me.And the title is a "real" poetry title that I would read first if it were on a shelf...yeah! I know poetry boards and others are for critique but I find it very difficult, indeed impossible to critique a poem as great as this one, this is perfect and uncritiquable.
enjoyed this greatly...Highlander..Love & Peace.
