******************************
Theresa hadn’t noticed earlier how cold it was this time of year in Chicago. The icy sleet on the ground made it hard for her to walk in her heels. It began to snow and Ethan and Theresa found themselves in what seemed like a blizzard.
Once they made it to the limo she thought she would feel better to be out of the sudden storm. But she knew there was a storm brewing within Ethan. He was adamant on proving to her that things weren’t over like she said they were. He cursed the gods who seemed to be so against the two of them finding happiness with each other.
The ride to O’Hara airport was cold. Even though the limo was warm and soothing, Theresa’s heart was stinging just knowing that she had hurt Ethan again.
“This is really a horrible turn of fate.” Ethan blurted out to her.
Theresa turned and faced him. She was hoping that the ride to the airport wasn’t more uncomfortable than it already was.
“What do you mean?” She inquired.
“For months you tried to convince me that I was in love with you. I didn’t want to own up to my feelings, and I kept telling myself that I was in love with Gwen. But when you were in that tragic accident, it made me realize how much I loved you, and how much you meant to me.
We’ve been through a lot these past few years, and I thought that we would stand the test of time. And then when I called off our relationship because of all the secrets you kept from me, I thought it was for the best. I couldn’t let myself trust you again. I thought Gwen was the one.
She had been honest with me from the beginning. And after all I put her through she was still willing to love me. But when you lied on that table in the death chamber, and I saw the life being sucked from your body, it felt as if my life was ending too. There was nothing I could do. I watched as you took your last breath and I wanted to die.
I thought about ending it all until I looked into little Ethan’s eyes once I returned to the mansion. I couldn’t bring myself to leave the little fellow when we made such a connection. I wanted to be the one to tell him how wonderful his mother was, and how much she was loved.”
Theresa felt her heart in her throat and she found it hard to swallow once more. She listened attentively as Ethan continued.
“And then when I realized that you hadn’t died, I thought it was fates way of telling me that we would be together forever. The gods weren’t as cruel as I cursed them to be, and I was given one more chance to make things right with you.
But now fate is turning the tables on me. Now it is you who is claiming not to love me, when I know that you do. Theresa please just be honest with me once in your life. Tell me it’s not too late for us. Tell me that you love me! I need to know that you still love me…” He trailed off dropping his head.
Tears streamed down her cheeks as she began wiping them away. She raked her fingers through his blond locks as he slowly lifted his head to meet the darkness of his eyes.
He held his breath as he waited for her answer.
He could tell it was killing her to give a response. He dropped his head once more and finally gave up on getting an answer when he heard her speak.
“I do love you Ethan.”
Ethan slowly lifted his head towards hers. It was as if a dark cloud had lifted off them. Ethan finally heard the words he long to hear for months. He knew he would never let her go now that he heard this revelation. He silently vowed to forsake all others and cling only to her for the rest of their lives.
Ethan leaned close to her, and felt the softness of her breast on his chest. He could feel them rise upon him with every breath she took. It was where he long to be, and he wanted this moment to last forever.
He dipped his head towards her and felt the sweetness of her lips slide across his. She allowed his tongue access as they submerged into one another. The kiss was hot and tempting. This time so much more would come of this kiss. Theresa thought nothing of the life that waited for her when she returned to Harmony. All she wanted was Ethan’s love.
Ethan rid her fur wrap from her to feel the softness of her skin. He dished his head to her neck as he began to feast there for a moment. A throaty mew rose to Theresa’s lips as she gave her approval on what Ethan was doing to her.
Her hands grasped the back of his neck daring him to pull away. He wanted more of what she was offering him, and thought well enough of their surroundings. He began to unzip her evening gown when the car came to a screeching halt.
Ethan lifted his head to see what was going on.
He spoke to through the intercom to the driver.
“Is everything okay up there? What’s going on? He said rather peeved.
“The police have the rode blocked up ahead sir.”
Theresa pulled up her fur around her and both her and Ethan stepped out into the blizzard to see what was going on.
A policeman was approaching the limo with a flashlight.
“Hi sir.” He said looking at the couple. “There has been an accident ahead, and there is no entrance into the airport. Plus it seems as though all flights heading out this evening has been canceled because of the storm.”
“Oh no!” Theresa replied. She knew that not more than kisses would be shared between them tonight if they were stranded together. It would be more than she could bear.
The officer interrupted her thoughts. “There’s a motel two miles east of here. I’ve directed many people there already, so good luck in getting a room. If not, you’ll have to risk driving back into the city through this storm.”
“I’m sure everything will be fine officer. Thank you so much for your help.” Ethan responded, with almost a gleam in his throat.
Once they were back inside the limo, Theresa was hoping Ethan wouldn’t bring up the kiss they shared. She was still struggling with her feelings, and wasn’t sure this was such a good idea. She didn’t want to go against Alistair’s wishes, but it was his fault for setting them up.
Ethan was kind. He encouraged the silence between them as they headed to the motel. He knew this was awkward for her, and thought carefully of what to say. He thought it better if he kept quiet for both their sakes.
When they arrived at the motel Ethan took the liberty to check them in. He requested for two rooms, but unfortunately there was only one left in the whole motel, and they didn’t want to risk going back out into the storm. They had to deal with the fact that they would be spending the night together in a single room.
Theresa paced back and forth as he gave the desk clerk his credit card. She was afraid to spend the night with him. She knew that he wanted more than mere kisses but she also knew she couldn’t succumb to their passion.
How would she get through this night keeping herself from the man she confessed to love just moments prior to their arrival?
She knew he would want them to talk about things. Things she wasn’t ready to share with anyone. Not even him.
When they entered their room, the first thing Theresa noticed was how small the bed looked. She knew it was just her imagination, but was still afraid of lying there with Ethan beside her.
Ethan saw the uncomfortable look on her face.
“Theresa, I’ll sleep over there on the chair. It’s only for a few hours anyway. You can have the bed all to your self. I’ll be fine.”
“No Ethan. I’ll call down to the desk clerk and have them send up a cot. That would be better than some old chair.”
“Theresa, I’m sure the chair will be just find.”
But Theresa was already on the phone to the desk clerk.
Ethan rid himself of his tie and jacket. He sat down in the chair to take off his shoes. He was tired yet wired all at the same time. He wanted to talk to Theresa but he knew she wasn’t ready. So he thought he would just let it go for the night. He could face whatever came their way as long as he knew she loved him.
He looked up at her when he heard her slam the phone down.
“What kind of motel is this anyway?”
“What’s the matter Theresa?” Ethan wondered.
“There’s no more cots in the whole motel. Seems as though we’re not the only ones stranded in this city.”
Ethan could tell she was more worried than mad. It was frustrating for her to have him there in the first place. He kind of chuckled to himself because he knew what she would say next.
“Well Ethan, this bed is big enough for the both of us. It’s okay if you slept in it too.”
Ethan downed his laughter. He didn’t want her to feel as bad as she obviously already did.
“No Theresa, it’s fine. I’ll sleep in the chair. It’s really no problem.”
Theresa knew she should let it rest and just let Ethan sleep in the chair, but something inside her wasn’t letting it go. Even though it wasn’t her who invited Ethan along to the ballet, she somewhat felt responsible for his presence.
“No Ethan! I insist. Please, sleep here. I promise I won’t bite.” She said growling and giggling, trying to break the tension between them.
Ethan smiled showing all his dimples. His eyes sparkled as he accepted the other half of the comfortable mattress. He silently promised to behave himself, but knew well that some promises could be broken in the heat of the right moment.
She excused herself into the bathroom to remove her dress. She didn’t have any sleepwear, but could wear her black lacy camisole and panties to bed. She just hoped Ethan was already asleep when she exited.
He removed his shirt and placed it over the chair. He figured he’d remove his trousers too so he would be as comfortable as possible. He hated sleeping in his clothes, and remember all too well some late nights when he left Crane Industries how he would just crawl into bed after a long day.
He placed the pants over a hanger, and hung it up next to his jacket and tie in the closet. He checked his palm pilot to make sure he didn’t have any early morning meetings. He knew he would be exhausted in the morning, and didn’t won’t to make any bad impressions.
Just as he closed it up, he looked up to reveal Theresa standing in the doorway of the bathroom. She looked real nervous, and Ethan tried hard not to look in her direction. It was hard however because she revealed much more than she desired.
Ethan tried real hard, but he caught himself each time as his eyes fixed on her silky thighs. He glanced over to the window to stray from her sexy ensemble.
“Looks like the snow isn’t letting up.”
Theresa hurried to the bed and covered up quickly. She had already given him an eyeful and didn’t want to tempt him anymore. She took the pins that held her bun up and placed them on the little nightstand. She whispered good night and turned over with her back facing him.
Ethan stared down at her. He wanted to touch her softness but decided against it. “Good night.” He whispered back before turning out the light.
***********************
The moonlight finally filled the room with light, and it was easier to focus. Ethan lied there watching her sleep. Her body rose slowly with each breath she took. She had wrestled with the covers to stay on her, but lost the battle. Her flesh was in eyeshot and Ethan couldn’t resist any longer. He craved to touch her. She was asleep so there was no way of protesting.
He placed his hand on her arm. Gentle strokes glided in steady motions. He wanted more. His hand moved downward stroking her hip. He moved in closer to her. He knew it was wrong but he couldn’t help himself.
Her body was giving off vibes that drove him insane. He knew she was asleep but he didn’t care. He wanted her so much.
He reached under her camisole and began massaging each area his hand roamed to. He finally reached up far enough to feel her swollen breast. He stroked the area bringing his thumb and forefinger to the tip of her nipple. Even in sleep it had become instantly hardened by his touch.
She stirred and backed into him causing him to become aroused at her shifts.
She let out a soft sigh as he continued stroking her breast. He wanted just one taste, but she was still facing the other way. If she only turned in her sleep he could have more of what he wanted.
He knew that on some degrees this was turning her on, but he wasn’t sure if he was doing enough to wake her.
He let his hand roamed down her center to the elastic of her silky panties. He moved in closer to her so that he could get a better feel of what he was doing.
He placed his hand inside and could tell her body was definitely responding to his teasing. He let one finger slip inside her and was amazed at how ready she was to receive him. He wanted her up now. He couldn’t take it any longer.
He pulled out his finger and dived it in once more hoping that it startled her to awaken. She still lied quietly as if nothing was going on.
Ethan began to kiss her neck. He had a need that needed fulfilling and Theresa was the only person who could fill it just right.
She stirred once more this time turning to face him. The moonlight shimmered off her giving a glow all her own. She sighed at the touch of Ethan’s hands on her body. She thought she was dreaming until she opened her eyes and came into focus with his.
“Ethan.” She let out a whisper.
“Theresa.” He whispered back.
Theresa could feel that her body was being violated. The moistness between her thighs was evident of that.
Ethan lifted his body and crossed his leg over hers, and pushed his arm under her bringing her close to him.
She could feel his bulge in his boxers, and wondered just how far he had gotten with her.
“I want you Theresa. I want to make love to you.” He stared down at her. He pulled her hair from her face and leaned down closer.
He pulled her upward toward his lips and he took hers in one easy slither.
Theresa placed her hand on his bare chest and felt his nipple harden to her touch. He dived deeper into the kiss as he felt her embrace. He wanted her so bad but he wanted to make sure it was what she wanted too.
He lifted his head and looked deep into her eyes. He could feel the steady pace of her heart. He waited for her to say something. Finally she spoke the words he long to hear.
“Make love to me Ethan. I need you. I need you so much.”
Ethan leaned forward again as he took her lips once more. The taste of her tongue on his was so sweet. His hands roamed over her body marking each spot his. He knew at that moment that there was no going back. It would be like this forever. He wasn’t allowing Julian or Gwen to come between them ever again. Theresa belonged to him and only him. There was no way he could give her up.
He placed his body over hers as she entwined her fingers through the locks of his hair. She knew that he was hungry for her touch and yearned to give him her full attention.
When he entered her, she was lost in a world that was made for only them. She sighed with every stroke he took. At first they were gently glides that were full of passion. He was so caring, and thoughtful to her needs. He could tell that staying right there a little while longer would build what was brewing inside of her.
She moaned as she heard deep groans escape his throat. His thrusts soared speedily. She matched each stroke and he went wild with desire. How could one woman make his senses go untamed? He seemed to lose control as he dove deeper and deeper inside of her.
The tension that built between them was more than they could bear. The release would be sweet and satisfying. Theresa wrapped her arms tightly around him as she felt her senses lose control. She was there ready to let go. She let out a long sigh as she felt her body reach a point of no return. She had gotten there before he did but he wasn’t too far behind her.
He gave one more lingering thrust inside of her and held it tight as he flew over the edge. It was an amazing feeling. A feeling he hadn’t felt since the last time they made love over a year ago. He cursed to himself for settling for someone who couldn’t make him feel as good or as satisfied as Theresa did. He wasted so much time fighting what his body needed, and almost lost this chance to be happy again.
Fate had come through for him. A sweet smile curved his lips as he thought about how the snowstorm had come just in time. Winter had instantly become his favorite time of year.
She lay beneath him with the same satisfying look on her face. She knew only Ethan could gratify her lust and desires. She couldn’t give him up now. Not after what they just endured. She would face whatever came her way as long as Ethan was by her side. Even though she was afraid of Alistair’s wrath, she knew that the love that her and Ethan possessed would overcome any obstacles that came their way.
Ethan saw the happy look on her face and felt cozy warmth over take his body. He leaned forward and brushed his lips across hers before they both settled into a deep astonishing sleep.
