Hey Steve... thanks very much for the advice, i'll definitely take a look at the book you mentioned. From the sounds of the cost of pipes (crikey!) i think i will definitely start by coming along to one of your meets to hear the playing, and see if this is going to be something i want to invest in. I have a saxophone to sell, but i'm not sure it'll cover the cost of even a practise set!
Thanks for the encouragement too, it's good to know about the meet at the end of July that i see on the homepage now, gives me plenty of time to work up to the idea, lol! I'll see if i can arrange transport, and hopefully i'll be able to come along to that one.
