Subject: Travis Smith vs Injee Amusa-(CWO Summer Madness 8-29-02)

The bell rings and Travis and Injee look at each other and lock up. They break, and Injee interprets this as a small victory for himself so he woos and raises his arms in celebration. The crowd isn't impressed. Neither is Travis. They lock up again and Injee takes Travis over with a fireman's carry, which Travis counters into a headscissors. Injee escapes and is proud of himself, celebrating again. Travis goes to a go behind takedown and Injee gets to the ropes, frustrated. Injee now hooks the waistlock on Travis and Travis does his trademark counter by running towards the ropes and using his leverage to flip Injee off him and onto the floor. That really gets Injee bent out of shape, so when he comes back in he shoves his older brother. Travis shoves him right back and the second he does, Injee slaps him right in the face. As soon as he does, however, Injee realizes he might have made a mistake, as Travis now gets mad for the first time all match and looks as if he's about to stop taking it easy on his little brother. Travis backs Injee into the corner and the ref separates them. They lock up again and Travis reverses a hammerlock to one of his own. Injee counters that with a drop toehold and moves into a side headlock, but Travis escapes that by going back to the hammerlock, then applying an armringer. Injee yanks Travis's hair to reverse it, but Travis kips up and reverses that. A whip results in a Travis rollup for two. Travis armdrags him. Injee elbows out and runs the ropes but gets caught with a monkeyflip and is clotheslined out to the floor to a big pop. Injee starts to walk back down the aisle, but Travis pulls him back in the ring. They have another shoving match, but this time it's Travis that slaps Injee, then gets a quick rollup for two. The crowd has been going nuts for these first five minutes and it's only about to get better.

Travis goes to the armbar, gets sent off the ropes and tries a crucifix for two. He goes back to the armbar, and Injee throws him off the ropes again, but this time catches him with a roundhouse kick. Injee stomps away on Travis and kicks him out of the ring to the floor. Outside, he rams Travis back-first into the steel post then tosses him back in the ring. Injee whips Travis to the corner, hits a backbreaker and goes to a camel clutch in the middle of the ring. Travis makes it to his feet and elbows out of the hold. He goes off the ropes but gets caught with a perfect Injee belly to belly suplex for a two count. Travis reverses a whip to the corner, so Injee uses the momentum to hop up to the second turnbuckle, jump off and turn around in midair for a high crossbody. Travis rolls through for two. Injee regains control and sends Travis to the outside again. He tries to suplex him in, but Travis floats over into a waistlock. Injee is able to reverse that to a german suplex for two. An Injee legdrop gets another two count. Injee headbutts him and goes for a suplex, but Travis reverses into a small package for two. Injee retaliates with uppercuts. Travis gutwrenches him, but Injee reverses that into a tombstone piledriver and hits it. Injee climbs up top to attempt a flying headbutt, but Travis moves out of the way at the last second.

Now Travis unleashes a string of offensive moves, first with an inverted atomic drop, then a clothesline for another near fall. His russian leg sweep gets two, as do his backbreaker and elbow drop off the second rope. Travis questions the ref about that last two count, and Injee climbs to his feet. He tries to kick Travis, but the former CWO Champion catches his foot. Injee is left standing on one leg, so he brings his other foot around and the devastating Enziguri connects with the back of Travis's head. Injee tries to hook his version of the Sharpshooter but Travis wiggles away and tries to hook his Sharpshooter instead. Injee squirms away with the help of the ropes and eye gouges Travis. He uses the leg rollup to sunset over and get a two count. Injee bails to the floor. Travis follows with a pescado over the top, but comes up clutching his knee. Injee is still a bit disoriented, but when Travis limps back in the ring, Injee notices the injury and capatilizes on it. He mocks Travis's limp, then uses a single leg takedown to segue into a spinning toehold. He does it again, then hooks on a Figure Four leglock. Travis is clearly in trouble.

Travis somehow manages to roll over to reverse the hold, then they roll over again into the ropes to break it. They get to their feet and Travis continues to limp. Now Injee is no longer mocking Travis and has a mild limp of his own from the time he spent in the Figure Four. Injee again goes for a single leg takedown to target Travis's knee, but Travis maintains his vertical base, suckers Injee into holding his leg, and hits his brother's own Enziguri. Travis whips Injee into the corner where Injee does Travis's trademark chest-first bump. Travis drops his good leg for two, then hits a bulldog. A piledriver gets two more for Travis Hart. He lifts Injee up onto the top rope in the corner and superplexes him. Both men take a hard hit after that one, but Travis manages to cover Injee. All he can get is another two count. All these counts are so close. The crowd has been going nuts the whole match, and with Travis in control it's only getting louder. They trade punches and Travis puts Injee in a sleeperhold. Injee makes it to the ropes, then lowblows Travis as he releases the hold. He goes for the Sharpshooter and this time he gets it on him for real. Travis struggles to find a way out and eventually reaches back and grabs one of Injee's feet, takes him down, then pulls himself up and right into a Sharpshooter of his own. Injee makes it to the ropes and Travis is forced to let go. Travis tries to send Injee to the buckle, but Injee reverses and charges. Travis gets his feet up and Injee eats boot. Injee remains stunned in the corner, with his back to the turnbuckles, as Travis hops up and goes to the top rope. Travis climbs onto Injee's shoulders and tries to take him over with a victory roll, but in mid-roll Injee stops the momentum, slams him down and traps him in a pinning combination, pinning Travis's shoulders to the mat for a clear three count to end the match at 20:21
