2.6 The system comprises 17 main fire hydrant risers with 17 nos. fire services inlet at Ground Floor, supplying all fire hydrant on each floor within the staircase enclosure and supplying all hose reels on each floor.

2.7 The hydrants and fire services inlets are reserved solely for fire brigade use while hose reels are provided for domestic use at the incipience breakout of a fire.

2.8 Fixed fire pump also acts as intermediate booster pump to provide sufficient pressure for the hydrants and hose reel via F.S inlet from fire engine supplying 8 bar water supply.

2.9 The fire pump can be started automatically to provide sufficient pressure for the hydrants and hose reels by operation of the break glass units adjacent to each hose reel point and to actuate the alarm system. Manual stop the fire pump is required once started.

2.10 F.S transfer pump(s) is fed from 20,000 litres transfer tank located at B2/F to R/F F.S. water tanks(s).

2.11 When F.S. water tank(s) status is at low level, the transfer pump(s) will be automatically started and will be stopped where F.S. water tank(s) is full.
