Date Posted: 18:01:24 07/23/03 Wed Last time we talked/I posted I thought I would be getting high speed soon. So I figured for some reason, I'm not even sure why at this point, before I go online much I'll just get it so we could just play. So I decided to go with cable modem since they are the only company in my area without a contract. So after they screw me around for about three weeks they finally tell me they can't install it because of a tree in my yard. That royally pissed me off seeing as how they wasted an entire day off of mine for three weeks straight waiting for their technician each day. After that I called every DSL company that "supposedly", from what the internet said anyway, offered service in my area. Well, it just so happens Bellsouth, the company who controls the phone lines in my area, never hooked up what the lines needed for DSL. So it's not even possible to get DSL where I am. BAHHHH!!!!! So it looks like I'm not getting high speed anytime soon. But I've been considering getting "real" 56k, like MSN or something. I'm not even sure how much better that would be than this though.
