Date Posted: 12:54:30 07/30/03 Wed They finally came out with the 1.9 patch. It adds 2 high altitude bombers for the allies, factories and supply bases to bomb them with which actually effect the war, and multiple infantry additions and changes. The addition of supply and high alt bombers will allow massive high alt battles that you always see on the WWII movies. They also added "chunks of crap" as they call it. That is when you hit a plane debree falls off. Also for the air, they added drag for bomb loads, open canopy's, and landing gear down, which will make Stuka's an even easier kill. For infantry they add animations for using binoc's, walking backwards, and walking while crouched. They also added animation for shell ejection, 1st and 3rd person. They added visual emotes also such as salute, cheer, get down, move out, etc. So, they are still working on bailing out of your vehicle and visual damage on planes, such as bullet holes, wings breaking off, and burns. I assume that bailing will be high in demand after people get in some high alt battles and have to wait 10 min watching their plane crash to the ground because they cant parachute out. So they might have bailing in by the end of this year, however they said they have to rework the whole system to add it in so maybe not. As far as wings braking off.... I think they will most likely try to get a good number of planes and tanks in before they add that. But in order to add that to all vehicles they would have to rework the models they currently have out. So they may just add it sooner by creating new planes with the models that allow it and will try reworking the old ones after that. If not, it probably wont be till later next year.
