I believe the meaning of life differs. For some it is God. But does it matter if God really exists or not? No, but as long as one believe's he does than one has a purpose and reason to live. If someone believes their purpose is to play music, than it is because it gives them meaning and reason to live. Everything needs a reason to exist. Without purpose, existance ceases. Everything has a reason, we breath, eat, shit, love, hate, kill, birth, walk, talk, smoke, drink, help, hurt, all for reasons. They give us purpose. They are cause, and our lives are the effect. These things happen, and as a result our lives are molded and shaped. So the meaning of life is God, the meaning of life is Love, the meaning of Life is what you believe it is,if it justifies you living than it is the meaning of life. But what happens when a persons purpose is the struggle to understand the meaning of life, what happens when they finally reach that enlightenment and fully comprehend this? They lose purpose for they have nothing left to search for. And without purpose they will cease to exist. Some call it Nirvana. It is the valley of absolute nothing.
