"Well why on Earth would I view you as a freak?" he asked, looking honestly confused. "For one thing...it doesn't sound like a 'problem'...it's like a gift! And everyone has their own little quirks and foibles. It's what makes people interesting! Why, if everyone were perfect, the human race would be a dull species indeed!" he said, chuckling slightly. He smiled at Keiko as she scampered off into the kitchen to fetch the pie and continued on the paperwork. My, she's amazing! I don't believe I've ever met a woman quite like her... He smiled as she reemerged from the kitchen, pie in hands.

"Why, thank you, Miss Tadano..." he said, taking the plate. "Why...this is excellent! Honestly, I've never had pie this good...and I grew up next to a diner that boasted the best pie in America!" he said, chuckling and taking another bite. Within minutes, he had finished the pie and his paperwork.

"So, Miss Tadano...where did you learn to cook like that?" he asked, though he frowned as he looked at the clock. "Oh my! It certainly is getting late! Perhaps...you would like hang out with me after work tomorrow?" he said, smiling hopefully.

Oh sheesh...you sound like some high school lad. he thought to himself with a chuckle. "The pond is frozen over at the park...it's perfect for ice skating!" he said with a grin.
