Andrew has left us now, so I can't probe the interesting matter of nicknames. He did speak of the Jesus Army, but not much. He admitted to two thefts of their vehicles, including the trashing of one, and felt bad about it. Part of him hoped to be received back there as a changed man, but another part of him felt the Anglican route was more 'him'. As for criminal vicars, it depends what the crime was, how long ago, etc. TWOC might not bar you, but fraud and theft would, to name but two.

I meet all sorts of lads for whom the JA was simply a step too far. They like it, it did them good, they speak fairly well of it, but it was too structured and had too many expectations for guys who had failed almost everybody's expectations in life (parents, school, employer, etc). Some of them wished the JA had half way houses of some kind, which went at a slower pace. Maybe that is something the JA could consider.
