amazing how they get away with that these days. Could NEVER happen in my time.

Back then ALL relationships had to go through the elders and anyone who didn't was told , that's it, period, you can never be married. Back then you couldn't even talk to the sister about "relating" unless you had first had it approved by your elder, her elder and then all the other elders.

Incredible that we all put up with that control!
