To the best of my knowledge, no other church requires members to make a vow to a church when they are baptised. The reason for that is that they are not biblical. They are an invention of the JA designed to tie the people to the church.....and as people are led to believe that God requires it of them, people like Mick and Noel need to be held responsible for making people guilty for nothing.

Maybe it is good that you didn't break your vow...

...but maybe it is healthier still to recognise the vow for what it is and cast it aside.....in the same way that Jesus supposedly beat the money changers out of the temple.

I think that if there was a god he would be on the side of people who cast of their chains of unbiblical vows
