Kannin looked up as soon as the first egg began to wobble. He nearly bounced out of his clothes with excitement. This is it! This would tell him whether he was worthy or not. Almost fearful that he would not, he squeezed his eyes shut and whispered hopes under his breath. And then: Kannin! I am Treel! The boy opened his eyes slowly, gaping at the little yellow in front of him. "Treel? Treel!" he cried, flinging his arms around the little Draglet.
Kihho laughed and clapped her hands at the sight of her friend Bonding. What a wonderful sight! So excited was she, that she hardly saw the little green sit at her feet. Kihho...My name is Rhaela. The girl looked down, then did a double take. "Me? You chose me?" The little green nodded confidently. "Oh Rhaela! I do love you so!"
Rakyu wasn't watching the others, only the green that was striding toward him. He had never felt so confident in his life, but somehow this seemed right. He took a step forward, then smiled, hearing his Bond-mate's plea of hunger. "Of course you can get food. Let's wait for the others to get ready before we go, okay? Or at least until Kihho's ready."
Pahmaru was still sitting, looking all the more glum. It was obvious that no one wanted him. So...he'd just go find the kitchens and eat. Then sleep. And eat. Then- I'm Kurge. He blinks, then looks over at the brown beside him. His face broke into a smile and he nodded eagerly. "Yes, let's! I've been thinking that we should..."
Afael was chatting with Esayo, not really paying attention to her. Despite his arrogance, he could not hide his desire for something more. No one would ever know that, of course. Except if he Bonded. He chanced a glance over, to see a blue sauntering towards him. Forgetting to excuse himself from Esayo, he walked over to the blue and looked him over. "Etyze, eh? Well, welcome home, little guy." And with that, the gruff boy patted the Draglet on the head.
Kohlin clang to Hicat's arm, whimpering softly. She must be strong, yes, but so far everyone else had Bonded...excepting Hicat, Esayo and Faveyo. But they didn't count. Hicat most certainly would Bond, and that's all she cared about. I'm Dirkra. Kohlin jumped, falling on her bottom. She looked up at the large purple, awed at the sight. "H-hi! I'm Kohlin...but I think you may already know that..." she paused, searching for something to say. She felt a gentle shove from Hicat behind her as she hugged her Bondmate.
Hicat stood off to the side, watching the Bondings take place. He gave a little sigh of joy, glad to see so many of his own chosen. He felt a mental presence meld into his own, and a greater joy blasted into the back of his mind. He looked over at the red, a soft smile playing over his face. "Lokarv." The red stared back just as nonchalantly. Hicat. Both nodded and were content to say no more.
Until...
Esaaaayo! Help me, please! Help Lheja!
Dragon, Bonded and Unbonded turned in unison to look at the little gold, then at Esayo.
Esayo paled and blushed at once. Hesitating only a moment, she raced over to the little gold. Removing any thought of her own discomfort for the moment, she hugs the gold to her. "Shhh, please, don't cry. I'm here. Please...stop," she half-sobbed, scared witless herself. What was this creature? No, what was life that it could do this to such a creature?
The black one landed, and adressed Hicat.
Hicat looked up at her calmly, gaining reassurance from Lokarv. "I do not know, ma'am. We arrived, then most of the eggs hatched and Bonded. None of us noticed the little one until she cried out like that. Her Bonded is trying to comfort her...I don't know what's wrong-"
Esayo called out softly: "She's blind, Hicat..."
Hicat cringed, nodding to Esayo. "So be it. As you have heard it from her Bonded."
