Response:
The time of the sacrifice ceasing was important or it would not be in the 70 weeks prophecy. It was a focus and even in your interpretation, the sacrifice ceasing and being replaced by Christ's sacrifice was the pinnacle.

There are both your view and PFP's view in the preterist interpretations of the 70 weeks. To say your answer is the only one not hretical is prideful and foolish.

The part you are missing was the impact AD 70 had on the New Covenant. That was the time the Jewish perswecution of the church ended. No longer did they have their priesthood power structure to stumble those who would follow the gospel. The "elements" of the law, required to keep the law by God were shattered. The infrastructure gone. And no longer did the Jews have the ability to follow that law according to "all that I (God through Moses)have commanded you." And therefore they had no power over the message of the gospel. The battles between the Christians and Judaizers was finished, Christ won!!
