The biggest threat to American is American foreign policy. We have 1.2 million GI's in occupation of other nations throughout the world. I don't see any foreign soldiers in our country, so I ask, who is the real aggressor? We also supply many other dictatorships and other non-democratic governments with weapons which have been and still are being used against their own populations as well as other neighboring nations. We in fact were very happy to allow and even supply Sadam with bio-agents and other weapons when it suited our purposes. Hell, were the one’s who taught him everything he knows. Not only did we supply him, we trained and encouraged him in his war with Iran (another nation who’s dictator we supplied and supported until he was ousted by his own people). We have been doing this for over 400 years and now we are paying the price. And look at all the cry babies coming out of the woodwork!! Oh!, poor America.... You see, America makes war not peace and that is the real problem. You do not stop war by going to war, but instead you simply perpetuate the cycle of violence. For those who feel strongly about going to war (including anyone in the US Congress or the current Administration or any other noble and brave Americans) please feel free to contact me directly. If you are willing to go directly to the front line and do the job, I will be happy to purchase a M-16 for you to enjoy. It seems very easy to talk about war as long as someone else has to do the actual fighting. To those who propose war, I say, put your words and strong beliefs into action by signing up for the front lines. Then and only then will I will you become believable. Until then, I will view you for who you really are (a bunch of hypocritical morons and blowhards). Have fun.
In addition to the points that I have already made, if you really want to know what’s going on, I suggest that you follow the money trail. Have you noticed the prices at the pump lately. Who do you think is capitalizing on these higher prices? Also, have you considered the fact that just before the elections and all of a sudden, we need to attack Iraq. Did Iraq become an immediate threat all of a sudden, requiring immediate action before the election or do you think the election has anything to do with it? During times of war, which political party benefits in the polls?
In regards to Bushes proposed policy of pre-emptive strikes, I believe Ted Kennedy said it best. This would be like Pearl Harbor in reverse!!! It is amazing to me that so many people can't tell the difference between offense and defense. Maybe they should try looking these words up in Webster’s dictionary. Obviously, Bush has never seen the inside of a dictionary base upon his demonstrated language skills and maybe he is very representative of those who admire him.
Finally, since the US is the only nation to use atomic weapons directly on civilians, I don't think we are in any position to point our fingers and others. We also keep the largest stores of chemical and bio weapons in the world. Who’s kidding who? Where is the real threat to world peace? Maybe we should clean up our own house, bring our soldiers home were they belong and take care of the real issues that should be concerning Americans, like health, education, jobs, social justice, etc., etc.,.......
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
