Personally, I rather respect the decision to get the message, whatever it is, out while they still have the chance. It's quite possible Firefly may be finished it's brief, lovely run. Rather doubt outrage over the sex and torture will be the rock that runs it aground. If it is, then there are few more admirable principles to uphold than artistic integrity. Which I feel is a bit different than artistic freedom. ME already respects the television constrictions of naughty language and real nudity. I think that if the audience ever felt that ME were compromising their integrity for any reason, even to protect a show's existence, we would trust them less on every topic. Not just the controversial ones, but the moral and ethical as well. If this is a kamikaze mission I mourn but support them.
