Of all places the Highlands and the Lowlands of Scotland each present contrasts to be remembered. Menacing rock faces as you drive through mist shrouded mountain passes to the green of the hills leading to the tranquility of the lochs.
It was this that lead me to..........
Silent Waters

What secrets do you hold in your cold dark depths?
Yours in the loch lap the shore, not yet ready to reveal these to us mortals,
Rolling pebbles move back and forth kissed by the waves,
Children crouch, deep in thought on the shore to find a hidden treasure.
Lovers stroll hand in hand, heads turned to share a smile, a kiss,
Old folk look on, a reminder, a dream of their days past,
Hands clasped they seek and feel the comfort of each other,
The sun slowly sinks in the evening sky, the darkness of the nightis soon upon us.
Night airs softly caress the loch side trees, their leaves whisper to each other,
Gulls cry, their flight reflected as white crosses on the dark water,
A fox calls to its mate and the screech of an owl is a frightened response
Night sounds, mystical sounds, questions and answers to those that know.
Moonlight strikes the still waters of the loch its reflection a bright crescent,
Natures sights and sounds are all that break the stillness of these Silent Waters.
