Reddan maress returned home followed by her son, and another colt, a newborn not her own, (any could see that for it was neither red nor black) turning to check its movement every once and awhile. Its mother had passed in its birthing, and being herself she could not leave it there to die, and thus she returned home with her second son.

Black colt followed behind the second that they had just picked up, making sure (in his mind anyway) that they where safe from any bad thing that could be comming up behind them. Not quite an adiquite gaurd was he, as a mouse had crossed their path on the way here and he had almost passed from this plane of existance.
