He had not noticed Romany, standing some distance away - too caught up in the high-strung antics was he to notice anything but the ground that he was stepping on, the way he was crushing the grass which sometimes sprung back up, reading to fight, and othertimes lay defeated against its brothers. At the voice next to him, he looked up, paused in mid-stride with a hoof poised like a statue. Slowly lowering the raised appendage he nodded in return. "Hello sir." He liked to think that he could judge emotion and yet he foun a distinct lack. Shifting his weight from one side to the other to calm the restlessness, he refrained from asking what the matter was although a faint glimmer of concern was evident.
