A sharp snort flared the ebony giant's nostrils, an acknowledgment of sorts of the sienna femme's arrival. At a hair over 18 hands, the charcoal-tinted brute loomed over her smaller frame, but intimidating the newly introduced Queen wasn't high on his list of priorities. Perhaps answering her question would rank higher? Hmm, maybe.

"A pleasure Firelight," rumbled the deep baritone. Not a shocker, considering his gender and size. "I answer to Texas." Rough, but surprisingly smooth. Like honey over gravel, or silk over broken glass. And surprisingly coherent and succinct. Conversational skills hadn't been highly prized in his 'past life', as he now referred to it. A grunt here, a nip there, a few well placed kicks and that was all that needed to be said. It seemed he had picked up a semblance of manners somewhere along the way. Maybe it was his namesake sinking in, passing to him the centuries of southern hospitality that could be found in his moniker.

Details, details, it's all in the details. She was on guard, did he make her nervous? The icy front that was presented seemed to be more of a deterrent than an actual everyday attitude. But what the hell did he know? He hadn't been there ten minutes. But that big boy wouldn't know that. A watch didn't exactly go with his outfit.

((ick. horrible, i know. no muse, sleepy human, just ... bleh. sorry))
