Reassurances from others would not be necessary. Having followed Firelight's gaze, Hex had found his target, Moonlight. Polished obsidians dug half-moon scars into the earth as he moved forward, loosing a low nicker to announce himself to the ebony mare.

"Greetings, Moonlight. I am Hex, from Paradise Isle. I have come to inform you that your freedom has been secured. You may report to Paradise Isle or return home when you are ready."

No further explanation was offered. Whether she knew who he was or not didn't matter. Being King wasn't all guts and glory. Sometimes it involved doing what was right for your lands, even if the recipient of your attentions had no clue who you were. A toss of his sculpted head and the blood-washed stud was gone, back to his home and his lover.
