Humbled by the horror that his carelessly brutal words have wrought, a bleak light illuminates his disturbing green eyes as the rain slashes thick, heavy tear-streaks down his soaked golden hide. His normally feather-soft mane hangs listlessly on a slender neck, and the pure elegance he oozes is oddly marred and laid bare by the effects of the slowly merciless elements. So it was all just a lie, what I saw there in those eyes.

Odd, how heavy emptiness can be, how it can eat away inside until it's the only thing that's left, and how easily it grows. There is a painful desperation that his words conceal but yield to ever so slightly, compromising by releasing some of their prior casual rancor; a frightening vulnerability is starting to appear. "It's... refreshing." Such inane words, so far from anything even vaguely recognizable as a worthwhile truth.
