This is an interesting story about a U.S. Army officer in Iraq. What is interesting is that he is of Indian decent.

If you were British, you would not be very surprised. Indians have been the backbone of the British Army for centuries. It would not be [completely] inaccurate to describe the British Empire as 200,000 Sikhs and Scotsmen with very large guns.

Yes, that was what was interesting. The Scotch-Irish or Scots borders have always been a big part of the U.S. Army. The more things change etc.
