Recently a Rhodesian whose parents are British applied to become a British citizen and had lived in Britain for most of his life, but he was turned down because he hadn't spent enough time in the UK for the last three years.
The reason: He had spent many months in Iraq fighting for the British Army. :(

I'm not sure Jim. Given that both your parents are British, coupled with the fact that they seem to be giving away British passports in cereal boxes these days, I would have thought it would not be a problem. However, I think you will probably have to spend at least a few years here first.
