Date Posted: 17:35:12 11/10/04 Wed Paddy, I wish I could come up to Scotland one day, and meet Scots and tell them how much I love your country. I've never been, but as a student of History I 've learnt so much about the many Great Scots, who regarded themselves as Britons as well. For Gods sake, I wish we could have a politcian that had this on their agenda - to rally the Scottish, and indeed the English and Welsh to unite and be proud Britain and Britishness. I think so many get worried because they carry thinking about that colonial past. I, as a British Asian know the very bad, but also the good of the empire. There are shameful things and we need to admit it, but on the other hand we need to be proud. I for one can say that there is alot to be proud of when looking at British history.! The Green Party is fanatically Euro-sceptic, and I have yet to hear of a Scottish nationalist, SNP or otherwise, who is not a Euro-Federalist. And I voted for the Greens in my last council election!
