A nice and exciting example of Commonwealth rivalry:

The Tri-Nations is on this month between the Commonwealth countries UK (playing as Great Britain and Ireland), Australia and New Zealand.

Australia are favourites.

Game 1: draw between NZ and Aussies
Game 2: Aussies beat NZ
Game 3: Aussies beat GB&I in the last minute after Lions take early lead.

SATURDAY NIGHT:
Game 4: of the tri-series - GB&I meet NZ for the first time in this year.

The Lions are looking to bounce back after their opening defeat. They will be looking for Man of Steel (player of year) Andy Farrell (C) and his forwards to dominate tough Kiwi pack while hoping British Young-gun Danny McGuire can produce something special.

The New Zealanders want to kick start their campaign to reach the final. Look out for 19 year old sensation Sonny Bill Williams who many predict could be one of the game's greats.

Since when was the Republic of Ireland in the UK, let alone part of the same "nation"? 1921?

Unfortunately, getting rugby on the tv in Brazil is like finding good surf in Botswana.

May the best team win.

(Oh, and by the way, Joel, you *must* tell your lads to play right up to the final whistle!)
