Date Posted: 17:56:46 11/11/04 Thu The Queen led an estimated 45 million of us in a two minutes' silence at 11am this morning. “All locomotion should cease, so that, in perfect stillness, the thoughts of everyone may be concentrated on reverent remembrance of the glorious dead” - King George V, 1919 After that, the Thames was lit up red and will remain that way until the full remembrance ceremony takes place on Sunday.
