Subject: Help with sand wedge

Just received my full set of Pro Line irons with 3 & 5 woods. Love the look and feel of every club. Played them right out of the box and shot 82–one of my best rounds ever! The only club I’m struggling with is the sand wedge. (My Callaway MAC Daddy was very easy to use) I’m really having trouble moving the ball out of the trap in fluffy sand with the One Iron. Any suggestions?

Rick,

Our SW has much less bounce than the one you have been playing which makes it an excellent fairway club as well as a sand club. The problem that you are having is that with your old SW with a higher bounce angle you have become accustomed to slamming the club into the sand just behind the ball to pop it out which is not something you want to do. You want to scoop the ball out of the sand as if you were shaving a dollar bill out from underneath the ball.
