Kam,
Our standard 1 Irons would be an excellent choice to lower your handicap. However, I will say that once you see the improvement to your game you will wish you got the Blackstones. We have seen this over and over with our customers throughout the years, most of them upgrading within a year or so to either our Pro-line or Blackstone.

In the past when I have purchased clubs in any color other than chrome the face gets discolored or the finish wears off after use. Will the Blackstone irons do that?

Adam,
Certainly the sole will show wear over time especially if you play in sandy conditions, and to a much less degree the clubface may show wear. However, I've been playing my set of Blackstones for four years, going to the range a couple of times per week and playing three times per week, and the only wear I've experienced is on the soles of my 55º and 59º irons simply because I hit them so often and use them out of sand traps. I might mention that the main focus of our Blackstones is extreme alignment at address due to the white scoring lines against the black background, and this will always work even if the face does wear a little over time.
It is interesting to note that the chrome on a typical clubhead wears more than our PVD coating but it is not noticeable since the plating is the same color as the underlying steel.

Hi David,
Thanks for your reply, so it would be better to get the Blackstone if I can afford it and it should be ok for me? It is not difficult to hit and not expected to be a single handicapper to use the Blackstone, correct?

Kamendra,
Our Blackstones will improve the game of any golfer regardless of handicap. They are just as easy to hit as our original 1 Irons and Pro-line irons.
