Subject: Should I set up to my irons with the toe of club slightly up?

Just bought a set of 1iron clubs. I absolutely love them, as they have helped me improve my consistency.

Here is my question: a golf pro told me that, at setup, I should not have the sole of the irons completely flat on the ground behind the ball. Instead, I should address the ball such that the toe of the club would lie just above the ground (so that more of the heel would be on the ground).

Does this make sense? Or, does the 63.5 degree lie angle of the 1iron clubs take that into consideration?

Thank you.
rw

Rich,

Ignore the golf pro. Address the ball with the clubface square and the scoring lines parallel to the ground.
