Subject: Distance to the ball

Hello. Just purchased a full set. Driver to 59 degree. (See I didnt say lob wedge) Reading the forums and all the golf tips on the site. Center ball position I got that. But distance to the ball not sure. Do you set the club so lines are parallel then get into stance? I’m 6’3 so this is going to be a big change. My clubs are 1/2 inch longer than standard now. So uncomfortable feel like I’m so hunched over.

Nick,

You are correct. Place the club behind the ball and then move closer until the scoring lines of the club are parallel to the ground. You should be standing in a much more upright position than you are used to.

Thank you.
