Here are some of my highlights from the trip. Don't worry, I'll keep it short, for once. ;)

1. Playing our set at the Worlds. I thought we managed one of our best run throughs in the medley right where it counted, at the Worlds. Thanks again Jim for kicking us in the a$$ and making playing the medley easier than breathing. ;)

2. The Bruce Gandy Recital at the Piping Center. This guy was one of my inspirations from the very beginning and I FINALLY got to hear him perform live. And he even let me have a photo, despite us asking for it right after he found out the recording guy lost half of the recital.

3. Angus MacColl's pipes at the Recital Challenge. They were the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I hung on every note...

4. Hearing Mesa's name called at North Berwick and then marching the parade with a knockout like Dianne holding our bands trophies.

4. Catching up with old friends. I was reunited with so many people on this trip and for once I took the time to sit and have a chat with them.

5. The SLOT concert. And Jim even got Terry Tully to sign my book!!! :) :) :)

6. The discovery of www.tradtunes.com. Finally!!! It's like itunes except for Scottish/Irish/Celtic music. They have a huge selection of piping. Woohoo!!! :):):)

And also, at the risk of being negative, here are the "low"-lights as well. Don't worry, there aren't that many... :)

1. Ending up at Jumpin' Jacks. Oh my god, what was I thinking???

2. Catching an exotic scottish respiratory virus.

3. Only had a fish supper once.

4. Giving my work my e-mail address while I was over there. Won't do that again!
